Your First Car Wash

Your daddy decided to take you to your first car wash. So, I sat in the back with you, just in the event that you might be frightened. You held my hand so tightly and you looked so enthralled as to your surroundings. You kept saying "wawa?" You were also a little scared by the noise and the water beating down on the car. But, I think you handled it pretty well.

Moved by the spirit

You're currently going through some stranger anxiety since the time I left you at your grandma's. I went to visit your Auntie Hye Young because she just had her baby (Isabella) and it took me 4 hours to get back from West LA to West Covina. Your grandma thought that you would cry a lot as she leaves you with your Uncle Arnold, practically a stranger to you, so she snuck out and didnt say goodbye even though I had asked her to. So, Uncle Arnold tried his best to entertain and distract you but you cried for an entire hour. Ever since then, you wont go to anybody. This is the reason why we took you in to service instead of leaving you at Flip Flops (daycare). While at service, you were very good. You let mommy and daddy listen to Pastor Matt's message. More importantly, while singing praise songs, YOU HAD YOUR 2 HAND UP! You fit right in. It was so hilarious. Your Auntie Loi would've died laughing.

My Summer With You

Our summer together has been so nice. I feel so much closer and connected to you. I'm sad that its coming to an end. But, I'm also excited to have your new brother or sister join our family. You went with me today to listen to the baby's heart beat. The same midwife who took care of you while you were in my belly is now looking after your baby sibling. When we got home I put you down for a nap and you cried to be picked up after half an hour. Then you lied with me in mama's and dada's bed for another hour. I love watching you sleep. What I love even more is the way you wake me up by pointing to one of my face parts and grunting. This is your way of telling me to label whatever you're pointing at. Anyway, I will miss our outings to Kids Space, Gymboree, playing with the "wawa" and having ice cream at Canyon Crest Plaza.

No more Auntie Loi

After coming home from Gymboree today, Auntie Loi's room was empty and only her bed remained. The first thing you did was plop yourself onto it and smiled. Mommy felt quite sad but I think you took it pretty well. I told you "no more Auntie Loi, she went bye bye" and you just looked confused. We'll see how you are in the morning. If you do your usual routine of knocking at her door to wake her, I'm going to start crying. We love her so much and we will miss her. At least its only for one year.

Happiest place on earth?

Daddy and I decided to get a nice hotel room for you with a nice swimming pool to play in, the day before going to Disneyland. Unfortunately, the pool was small but I think you still had a good time with your daddy. He also let me relax in the room while he took you swimming. Then we went to our very first Harvest Crusade and Im so sorry that the music was too loud. You were a good sport though and clapped when everyone else did. After a while you couldnt take it anymore because you were so tired. I drove your stroller as fought and fought your sleepiness for half an hour. Finally, you fell asleep for the rest of the night. The next day, we went to Disneyland and mommy insisted that we take you to the new ride Finding Nemo. You were so tired that daddy had to take you around while I held our place in line for 2 hours. You were amused by the under water scene and kept saying "wawa!" over and over again. We took you back to the hotel for your nap but stopped by Subway to eat. Big mistake. You woke up after only half an hour. So we had a tired and cranky baby for our visit to the happiest place on earth. Baby girl, you werent so happy. However, you did want to keep riding the carousel again and again, so we did. We wont go again until you're 5 years old and your baby sibling is 3 years old. Im sorry you were so tired baby bum.

Guilt Trip

Your grandma came to visit today and I decided that I should take advantage of this opportunity to take a nap. As I tried to do so, all I kept hearing from downstairs is your little voice saying "mama." I went downstairs right away and you were so happy. Later on that night, I went to your Auntie Loi's surprise going away dinner and I was gone for 2 hours. Grandma told me that every time you heard a noise you would ask mama? I feel so guilty for leaving you baby bum. I love you so much.
